This is a little late, but here goes anyway. My days in uniforms are finally over. That's over 10 years in the exact same colour, skirt and blouse as every other person around you for 6 hours a day, 5 days in a week. We're breaking free!
It's not all fun and games though. People would naturally assume that you take on a job or some sort. It's a feast for recruitment agencies and cunning network marketing companies to lure sweet innocent children like me into a good paying temporary job complete with misguided information, only realised after contract is signed usually.
Same goes for me, spam companies with my loser resume but only one contacted me back. Amazingly, it took me less than 10mins to decide on what to wear for the interview and I thinking back, I think I went overboard with the dresscode, complete with the three-quarter sleeved tight fitting blazer and black heels. Even the taxi uncle who drove me all the way to Ang Moh Kio, knew immediately that I was going for an interview.

Since then, I got the job, not enjoying the people and environment that came with it and is soon quitting and going to another company! Oh well, the added benefits of being a part-timer. Despite all that, this job came with some lessons one of which is, even though I'm used to being alone, I know from eating Ya Kun Kaya Toast alone during lunch breaks, beside the Singapore River, that I feel absurdly lonely.
